Coffee... it does good things to me in the morning and great things to high carbon steel. After a strong soak, the steel takes on a black patina that enhances the banding in the blade (hard to see in an image) and prevents the blade from tarnishing too much... it also makes it look pretty cool. This blade is what I would call a great general chef knife. The blade is long enough for big veggies yet nimble enough for dicing onion, etc. The handle is made from black Corian, G10 and Stabilised Maple.
